| Shimano Bike Parts Recall
As reported in the Business Section of the KC Star today: Shimano is recalling about 8,500 quick-release devices for bicycles b/c the skewers can fail or break when in the locked position. The recall includes all quick
releases that have silver skewers and do not have round stickers on the back of the release lever. They did not list any particular year of manufacturing. They recommend taking your bike to a bike store for a free
